
The barrel sponges are distorted by the strong currents. The currents are caused by the outflow of the Orinoco River.

While most of reefs are dominated by sponge gardens, there are gorgoiums and other soft corals as well as some very large brain corals. While this is the only one we saw, this is a good example of coral bleaching on this head of brain coral.

Sunk as a diving attraction.
