We were driving along in the western corridor of the Serengeti and our driver hit the brakes and said "Chameleon!". He backed up and sure enough, this chameleon was in an acacia near the road.
Red-headed Agama (Agama agama)

We could get out of the car at the entrances to the Serengeti Park. One entrance had a trail which we followed. Agamas were sunning themselves on the rocks.
Female Mwanza flat-headed rock agama, Agama mwanzae

Almost all animals moved out of the way when we drove through in the Toyota minibus. The exceptions were elephants and this mighty leopard tortoise. This animal refused to move and forced us to detour around it.
Serrated hinged Terrapin, Pelusios sinuatus
This animal was on the road near the water.
Nile Crocodile, Crocodylus niloticus

We were advised not to get too close to the water at the Grumeti River in the Serengeti. These are maneaters!
We also saw crocodiles in Selous.
Nile Monitor Lizard (Varanus niloticus)

We saw several monitor lizards. The small lizard was at the base of a bridge in the Serengeti. The big lizard was hanging around near the water in Ngorongoro crater.
